FAQ

What exactly is a wedding coordinator?

A wedding coordinator is someone who helps to orchestrate all of the details that take place on the wedding day.  The coordinator is the main point of contact on the wedding day for all vendors, helps to ensure that nothing is forgotten, handles any unexpected occurrences that take place on the day of the wedding, and assists the bride and groom in any way that is needed.

What is the difference between a wedding planner and a wedding coordinator?

A wedding coordinator is someone who helps to ensure that an engaged couple's plan and vision for their wedding is executed flawlessly on the day of their wedding.  My role as a wedding coordinator is to facilitate all of the events of the wedding day so that the bride and groom do not need to worry about the details.  A wedding planner's role is much more complex and requires a greater amount of time, which results in a higher cost for the bride.  For some couples, a wedding planner is necessary and desired, while others have found that they enjoy planning a wedding and simply need someone to coordinate their special day.

If I want to plan my own wedding, do I need a wedding coordinator?

Many brides are very capable of planning a beautiful, unique wedding.  Countless websites have aided in this process, which is phenomenal!  With that being said, a wedding coordinator is extremely beneficial even for a bride who has all of the details covered.  The wedding coordinator can help to be not only a second set of eyes, but also the one who is responsible on the day of the wedding to ensure that everything is executed flawlessly so that the bride can focus on enjoying each and every moment without worrying about the logistics.

Can you help with picking up flowers, the cake, etc.?

Of course!  I have picked up flowers, brought food to the bridal party, and even transported the bride and groom to their hotel after the reception!  All of these details will be worked out during our pre-wedding consulatations.

I would like help with my decorations, centerpieces, and invitations.  Can you help?

Sure!  If you would like help that extends outside of the traditional wedding coordinator package, you can choose to pay for additional time that can be spent on decorations, centerpieces, and invitations.  I can even help you with your registries!  If you need help from more than one person, I have a team of assistants who can provide service as well.

I do not live near Columbus.  Are you willing to travel for my wedding?

Most definitely!  I have traveled out of state before, and I am certainly willing to travel to help a couple who does not live near Columbus.  For weddings that take place outside of a 50 mile radius of Columbus, there is an additional fee for lodging and transportation, which is based on the cost of travel to that particular location.

Do you work with any specific vendors?

I have worked with many different florists, caterers, and photographers in the past, but I do not have an agreement with anyone in particular.  This provides me with the opportunity to make suggestions if requested while remaining flexible to ultimately support the bride and groom in their decisions.

Do you have references?

I do!  Please see my testimonies page for personal stories from brides who I have helped in the past.
